The band has started their most challenging piece yet. Over 70 measures of a piece called “Christmas Festival”, a mixture of “Hark the Herald Angels Sing”, “Silent Night” and “Joy to the World”.
The chorus is off to a great start. They picked up right where they left off on singing the “Hail Mary, Gentle Woman” in parts. I am so proud of them! Watch for the old John Denver hit “Grandma’s Feather Bed” at the Christmas Concert.

Preschool is settling in nicely and we are getting into a routine. We have been learning all about apples and are excited to be going on our first field trip to Tougas Family Farm for apple and pumpkin picking!
Grades 6 & 7 are learning Latin. It’s exciting to know how people lived in Ancient Rome, what stories they told their children and where they went to enjoy themselves.
We are very excited to start the school year with a new language. Grades K-2 are learning Spanish for the first time. They are doing a great job learning how to greet people and introduce themselves, as well as learning the alphabet and numbers.
