First Graders have been busy creating a “New England Animals in Winter Wonderland “ in Room 1. While learning about the indigenous animals of New England, they’ve been sketching, writing, and drawing about foxes, turkeys, deer, chipmunks, bears, snakes, cardinals, rabbits, owls, squirrels, raccoons, bobcats, moose, groundhogs, bats and more. Their enthusiasm for learning about these animals has been exciting to witness. They kept coming up with another animal that they wanted to learn more about. Their wall mural and their individual habitat projects are awesome. Hopefully, they gleaned many interesting facts from their study.
